The beach in Fanø stretches 15 km along the westcoast of the island. It is without doubt one of the best and safest bathing beaches in Northern Europe. Also, it is the scene of many activities such as kite flying, windsurfing, ball games, horseback riding, bicycling, bathing, hiking and, of course, collecting amber.
It is allowed to drive cars on the beach. The speed limit is 30 kph.
Always pay attention to the tide when at the beach. Get a table of the tides at the Fanø Tourist Information.

In Thyborøn you find a wonderful child friendly sandy beach which is protected by breakwaters on both sides.
